Come for a walk along the ROMANS ROAD........
your life will never be the same again!

The Romans Road to salvation is a group of Bible verses from the book of Romans in the New Testament. It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining why we need salvation, how God provided salvation, how we can receive salvation, and what the results of salvation are. If you walk down this road looking for God you will end up understanding how to be saved.

Step #1
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"

We have all sinned. We all have done things that are displeasing to God.

Step #2
Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned"

We all were born with sin in our hearts and we are under the power of sin's control. No one is innocent, no one is free.

Admit it: you are a sinner, just like everyone else.

Step #3
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

There is a consequence of sin, its result is death. The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but a worse death, an eternal death, spiritual death!

This spiritual death will last for all eternity in a place the Bible calls the Lake of Fire. This is where the spiritually dead people will be in torment forever.

You need to understand that you deserve death for your sin.

Step #4
But wait look at the rest of the verse:

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

God has a free gift for you, Salvation. This gift can never be earned it must be received.

Step #5
How did this gift get offered to us?

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. "

The Lord Jesus Christ died for you! When Jesus died on the cross He paid the price of your sins, He paid the price for all sin. He took the sins of the entire world on Himself on the cross. He did this because He loves us and gave Himself for us! People can be free. Jesus' resurrection from the dead proves that God accepted Jesus' death as the payment for our sins.

Step #6
" Romans 10:9 - 11 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."

All that you have to do is believe (trust in) in your heart what Jesus Christ has done for you, has done for all of us. His death is the payment for our sins, all that you have to do is believe this and you will be saved!
Take the step of faith and believe.

Give your life to God...call out to Him with your mouth.... His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to have forgiveness and life, freedom from sin. His love is what saves you -- not religion, not church membership, there is no work that can get this. God loves you and has let you know about this free gift.

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, He rescued us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Call out to God in the name of Jesus! Ask Him to come into your heart.

Step #7
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ask Him to come in to your heart, by faith, ask Him to forgive you.

You're at the end of the road; you have a decision now, to follow the Romans road to salvation? or to stay a slave to sin and follow the broad road to eternal death.

Jesus said Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:"

If you choose to follow the Romans road to salvation, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer to God is a way to declare that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you, they are not magical, but you must mean them in your heart. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation!

Prayer:
" Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that I have sinned against you. I do not deserve eternal life but am deserving of punishment. But Jesus took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I believe Jesus died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. With your help, I place my trust in You for salvation.
Dear Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I am now placing my trust in You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! In Jesus name, Amen!"

Step #8
Now that you are a Christian you can read the bible with Gods help.
Open the Bible to the New Testament and find the Gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus, about you, and about being born again. God will help you understand the words.

You also need to look for a local church where God's word is faithfully preached. The Bible says that we are to desire God's word like a newborn baby desires mother's milk.
1Peter 2:2 "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:"

You need to grow, to become a stronger Christian. Aren't you hungry to know more about the truth? If you don't know where to go, contact us and we can help you find somewhere where Gods people are.

Step #9
Water baptism is one of the ways you first show that you have been joined to Jesus. This is an action (work), and actions (works) will not save you. However, it is an act of obedience and a symbol of commitment.

The symbolism is this:
When you go down in the water you show that you have been crucified and buried with Jesus, And when you come up out of the water you show that you have been raised to walk with Him in newness of life.
(See Romans chapter 6)

You have been born again.
(See John chapter 3)

Your body has become God's temple. (See 1Corinthians chapter 6v19)
Your heart is where He lives.

Forgiveness is yours in Jesus.
And you belong to Him.

You were sin's slave.
But now...

You are a child of GOD!

John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Now that you have walked the Romans road to salvation, look back and enjoy the view.

Romans 5:1 has this wonderful message, " Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:"

Through Jesus Christ we have a relationship of peace with God. Romans 8:1 teaches us, " There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins.

Finally, we have this precious promise of God from Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

AMEN!
